Malaysia Legacy Advisory Organisation or known as Pertubuhan Penasihat Legasi Malaysia (PPLM) was established to create awareness to the public at large on the importance of having a complete and comprehensive legacy planning including will writing, trust planning, asset protection, life planning, etc. Malaysia has accumulated approximately 80 Billion of unclaimed assets as at to-date because of the “contribution” made by its citizens over the years because of lacking of knowledge in this field and this is definitely worrying.
Many are aware when it comes to the “basic” – will writing, but little did they know that actually it is way more than that. It is often assumed that the family members of a deceased can easily figure out the list of assets owned by the deceased over the counter in the government departments or; what’s even worse is that many too, assumed that the whole estate of a deceased will be automatically transferred or inherited by the family members or next-of-kin after the person’s demise. Both of which are purely misconception. As at to-date, Malaysia has no centralised system for us to keep track what is being left behind by a deceased and there is no automatic transfer of estate from the deceased to his/her family members or next-of-kin.
PPLM aims to achieve its goals by educating the public through its programmes and through collaboration with organisations and societies which are sharing the same goals.

Ever since the establishment of PPLM, it has been working together with professional legacy advisory firm such as THEWILL-Lee & Partners Legacy Advisory who has always been a strong support by providing legal and practical information, knowledge, guidance and advices in relating to the “one-stop legacy advisory services”. Over a short period of time, PPLM’s members have grown up to 1500 members nationwide to strive to achieve its noble vision.
Join Us
All certified legacy advisors in Malaysia are welcome to join us and help advance legacy planning in Malaysia. Our members participate in various initiatives, including raising awareness about the importance of having a complete and comprehensive legacy planning, be involved in our programmes and other activities held by the organisation. As our member, you will also be invited to our Annual General Meeting, where you can always contribute in shaping the direction of PPLM.
